I am a Panentheist

I am a Panentheist. I believe that the Divine is present in everything and also extends beyond and is greater than the universe. (As distinct from Pantheists who believe the universe itself is divine.) The Divine is both transcendent and immanent in the world. I believe in the existence of a Creator who is the first cause and creative source behind life. In other words, God is the initiator of human reality.  I believe Jesus Christ to be an embodiment of truth and divinity.  However, I also believe there is truth in all world religions and major philosophies and that religious freedom and tolerance is absolutely imperative. We are all sojourners, together seeking truth on our life journeys. I also believe that science and religion are fully compatible within the Panentheistic framework.
